Curcuma longa Linn extract suppresses neuronal apoptosis induction by sevoflurane via activation of the ERK1/2 pathway

 Purpose: To investigate Curcuma longa Linn against neuronal damage induced by exposure to sevoflurane during surgical procedures.
 Methods: A sealed box made of transparent glass was used for anaesthetic neurons. The neurons were exposed at doses 1.5, 3, 6 and 12 μM prior viability assessment using MTT assay. effect treatment on protein expression determined western blotting.
 Results: Sevoflurane led significant time-dependent reductions in proliferation, when compared unexposed cells (p < 0.05). significantly decreased sevoflurane-mediated apoptosis. It reduced cleaved caspase-3 Bax levels However, the Linn-mediated inhibition sevoflurane-induced apoptosis suppressed VPC23019 p- ERK1/2 level dose-dependently up-regulated with Linn. Moreover, reversed upregulatory p-ERK1/2 sevoflurane-exposed 0.05).
 Conclusion: elevating expression. Therefore, exerts inhibitory anaesthesia-induced neurons, may be useful this condition.
